About This Vehicle

This 2023 BMW M4 CSL is a lightened special edition of the M4 Competition and one of approximately 300 US-market examples. It is finished in Frozen Brooklyn Grey Metallic over black Merino leather, and power is provided by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six linked to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and an active M differential.

• The body is finished in Frozen Brooklyn Grey Metallic with black and red accents and features a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic hood, “double bubble” roof panel, front splitter, rear diffuser, mirror caps, and redesigned trunk lid with an integrated ducktail spoiler. Other exterior details include LED Laserlight headlights, yellow LED running lights, Park Distance Control, Shadowline trim, M Heritage roundels, and quadruple exhaust outlets with matte black finishers.
• Matte black 19″ and 20″ Style 827M forged wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 275/35 up front and 285/30 out back. The car is equipped with adjustable Dynamic Stability Control and M Traction Control systems as well as a revised adaptive M Suspension, which is 8mm lower than the standard M4 Competition and fitted with auxiliary springs as well as updated dampers and sway bars. Braking is from red M-branded calipers fitted over M carbon-ceramic discs at all four corners.
• The M Carbon bucket seats are trimmed in black Merino leather with red accents and backlit CSL logos, and weight-saving measures included omitting the rear seats and utilizing revised sound deadening. Carbon-fiber trim extends from the center console to the leather-covered dashboard.
• The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel features a red centering stripe, carbon-fiber trim, and paddle shifters. The configurable Live Cockpit Pro display includes a tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, readouts for fuel level and coolant temperature, and an odometer indicating 203 miles.
• The twin-turbocharged S58 3.0-liter inline-six was revised with increased boost pressure, retuned engine management software, and an upgraded cooling system and engine mounts compared to the M4 Competition. Factory-rated output was 543 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. A cast-aluminum engine bay brace and a titanium rear silencer were standard equipment.
• Power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and an active M differential.
